The decision to conduct a private investigation of any matter whether civil or criminal is an important proposition. Therefore, every effort to engage the services of a capable and professional investigator is obviously cost effective and prudent. Limiting possible liability from the actions of an investigator working on your behalf is also a primary goal.
The Florida Certified Investigator (FCI) has demonstrated to a committee of his peers that his/her credentials are deserving of the FCI certification.
Those credentials include, but are not limited to:
* a minimum three years of experience as a fully licensed private investigator
* a license in good standing with the State of Florida Division of Licensing
* a thorough knowledge of general investigative techniques, statutory issues and legal issues
* provided letters of recommendation from clients and/or investigative professionals
The FCI certification also requires an ongoing commitment on the part of the investigator to obtain continuing education instruction similar to those required by doctors, attorneys, accountants and other professionals. The FCI continuing education program concentrates on the topics of Professional Conduct and Ethics, Statutory Compliance, Legal Investigative Issues and Investigative Techniques.
The FCI has made a public declaration of his values and his commitment to furthering the investigative profession.
