The mission of the Florida Board of Certified Investigators, Inc., the certifying body, is to ensure the highest standards of ethics, knowledge, and professionalism among Florida private investigators.

A Florida Certified Investigator has obtained certification through education, personal knowledge and examination as certified by the Florida Board of Certified Investigators.

In seeking and maintaining the FCI professional designation, Florida licensed private investigators and those working in-house for attorneys not requiring licensure, have made the commitment to obtain twenty hours of continuing education every two years.

Florida Certified Investigators are making a statement to their clients and the public that they maintain high standards for themselves and also for the profession.
